Two People Dead in Shooting at Springville Home

Two people have died in a shooting at a home in Springville.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to 718 Wild Pine Court shortly before 4 pm on Sunday for two people found dead. Linn County Sheriff Rescue 57, Iowa State Patrol, Springville Fire Department and Anamosa Ambulance Service also responded.

Upon arriving, first responders found two people with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the State Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for further investigation. Their names are being withheld at this time until notifications can be made to the next of kin. 

The incident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office does not believe there is a danger to the public in regards to this incident.
