Decorative Street Lights Going Up in Downtown Manchester

A portion of downtown Manchester will be lighting up soon.

The Manchester Vitality Endowment Committee is installing decorative street lights on a section of South Franklin Street. Committee member Diane Hammell explains:

The Manchester City Council approved easements for the decorative lights at Monday night’s meeting, so the project can now move forward. Hammell says they’re hoping to either finish South Franklin or install lights in another section of downtown Manchester next year.

The decorative street lights will be up year-round. They’ll be going up likely yet this week, with hopes to have them ready to turn on for the first time during the Window Walk in downtown Manchester next Thursday night, December 5th.
