Starmont Student Council Hosting Red Cross Blood Drive

The Starmont Student Council will be holding their annual Red Cross Blood Drive later this month – and they’re looking for donors.
The blood drive will be held on Wednesday, December 18th from 1:30 to 6:30 pm at the high school café.
The American Red Cross is facing a blood shortage and has issued an emergency call for eligible individuals to donate blood or platelets as soon as possible. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. The Red Cross must collect nearly 14,000 blood donations every day for patients at approximately 2,600 hospitals across the country.
The Starmont Student Council plans to make calls this Sunday around 6 pm to get people scheduled for a blood drive appointment or you may schedule your appointment by calling Starmont Schools at 933-2218 and ask for Suzy Hamlett. Donors can also go online to redcross.org and click on “Give Blood” and type in Starmont’s zip code, 50606.
