A Central City woman was injured in an accident early Wednesday.
Emergency personnel were called to Highway 13 near Austin Road south of Central City around 3 am.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says 25-year old Austin Reinier of Anamosa was driving northbound on Highway 13 when he got into a verbal argument with his passenger, 23-year old Mackenzie Butteris. Reinier began to slow down the vehicle so Butteris could exit, but she tried to get out before the vehicle was stopped, causing her to strike her head on the pavement.
Butteris was transported to a local hospital with what authorities believed were non-life-threatening injuries.
