Ice Storm Impacting Travel Across Eastern Iowa

Saturday’s ice storm has impacted travel across eastern Iowa and much of the state.
Freezing rain and a mix of precipitation moved in early Saturday and fell through much of the day, quickly causing an icy glaze over sidewalks, driveways and roads.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office issued a tow ban for the county’s gravel roads on Saturday evening.
Delaware County Emergency Management Coordinator Mandy Bieber is encouraging drivers to stay off the roads and avoid travel unless it’s an emergency.
The weather and road conditions are expected to improve heading into Sunday as temperatures reach above freezing.
