Two people were injured in a collision in Linn County on Thursday afternoon.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says emergency crews responded to a crash on Highway 13 northbound near Burnett Station Road around 3:45 pm. Responders arrived to find that a van heading northbound on Highway 13 struck a tractor that was also heading north.
The driver of the tractor, 67-year old Victor Liegel of rural Central City, was ejected from the tractor’s cab.
Both Liegel and the driver of the van, 44-year old Robert Zurcher of Edgewood, were transported to an area hospital with what authorities believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Zurcher was charged with failure to maintain control.
