Bernice M. Miller, 90, of Arlington, Iowa, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, December 24, 2024, at the Good Neighbor Society Home in Manchester, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, Iowa, with Rev. Ray Atwood officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 to 6:30 P.M. Friday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Arlington, and from 9:15 to 10:15 A.M. on Saturday at the church.
Scripture Service: 6:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Interment: Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, West Union, Iowa.

Bernice Mary Roth was born April 1, 1934, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence & Agnes (Michels) Roth. She received her education and graduated from Janesville High School in the class of 1952. Bernice was united in marriage to Joseph Alfred Miller on October 20, 1952, in Waverly, Iowa. Bernice was a homemaker, worked at Raytheon and was a cook at Charlie’s Quick Shop in Arlington. The family lived north of Oelwein from 1952 to 1974 until they moved to rural Arlington and then later moved into Arlington. Bernice was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and crafting, making many items for her family.

Bernice is survived by her 3 Daughters: Marcella Greco of Oelwein, Sharon Monnahan of Black River Falls, Wisconsin & Suzanne Johnson of Millston, Wisconsin; 3 Sons: Eugene (Julie) Miller of Dundee, Jerome (Sharon) Miller of Manchester & Lawrence (Dawn) Miller of Rowley; 11 Grandchildren; 3 Step-Grandchildren; 37 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Virginia Remley of Shell Rock & Jane Lane of Fort Myers, Florida;
Brother: Melvin Roth of Janesville and Nieces & Nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Joseph on February 7, 2006; daughter: Barbara Miller; grandson: Chad Monnahan; brother and sister-in-law: Orville (Alma) Roth; sister-in-law: Judy Roth; brother-in-law: Marlowe Remley and 2 sons-in-law: Dominic Greco & Cliff Johnson.
