Light Snowfall Possible Monday into Early Tuesday

Light snowfall is possible tonight into early Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says a storm system will spread rain over much of eastern Iowa this afternoon through the evening, mainly for areas south of Highway 20. The rain is likely to mix with or change over to snow late this evening through Tuesday morning before ending by midday.
Some accumulations up to an inch are possible, especially on grassy and elevated surfaces. If the temps are colder and it changes over to snow quicker, then some amounts over one inch are possible. If the temps are warmer and the change over to snow is slower, then little if any accumulation is likely.
Stay tuned for updates on the forecast – and plan for a little more time for your Tuesday morning commute.
