Linn County’s elected officials were sworn into office on Thursday.
Linn County welcomes a new member of the Board of Supervisors this year, with Brandy Z. Meisheid now representing District 3. Meisheid replaces outgoing Supervisor Louis J. Zumbach, who did not seek re-election. District 3 includes Alburnett, Bertram, Center Point, Central City, Coggon, Lisbon, Mount Vernon, Marion, Palo, Prairieburg, Robins, Springville, Walker, and a large section of unincorporated Linn County.
Linn County voters also elected new Linn County Auditor Todd Taylor in November. Taylor previously served 12 terms as a member of Iowa’s House of Representatives and two terms in the Iowa Senate.
