RMC Seeing Rise in Pediatric Respiratory Illnesses

Sickness has been on the rise for kids across Delaware County these past few weeks.

Regional Medical Center Emergency Services Manager Dawn Biggs and Quality/Education Manager Sam Cocking says they are starting to see an increase in pediatric respiratory illnesses.

There are a few signs that it’s time to bring your child to the hospital.

RMC is offering a few tips on how you can help keep your child healthy.

Adding a humidifier to your children’s room can help too.

Another tip – wash your child’s coat, hat and gloves frequently. RMC says parents are doing a good job – just continue to follow your gut.

If you have any questions about your child’s respiratory illness, reach out to your family physician or Regional Medical Center.
