Authorities have released the names of those involved in a fatal collision in Jones County this week.
The crash happened Wednesday morning around 8:45 am southwest of Anamosa. The Iowa State Patrol says a pickup truck heading westbound on Highway 151 east of Basham Lane lost control and crossed the median, striking an eastbound car head-on.
The driver of the pickup, 77-year old Jimmy Kent Offen of Martelle, died in the accident.
The driver of the car, 60-year old Laura Marie Davis of Cedar Rapids, was injured. She was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
