Senator Zumbach Begins Third Term in Iowa Senate

A Delaware County farmer is starting his third term in the Iowa Senate. Republican Senator Dan Zumbach of Ryan was sworn in last week after he won re-election last November.
Zumbach says his roles and responsibilities have changed a little this year.
He’s expecting to stay busy on the Transportation Committee, with thirteen bills already coming across his desk the first week of the legislative session.
Zumbach says one bill that may stir up comments from Iowans is the hands-free bill.
Front license plates will also be a topic of discussion.
Following in the steps of previous state legislators from our area, Senator Zumbach provides updates about the legislative session every Friday. The KMCH Legislative Update airs Fridays during the noon hour.
