Ag Secretary Visits Anamosa Farm to Promote Choose Iowa

Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig was in Jones County visiting a farm in the Anamosa area late last week.

Kaufman Farms, which is located just south of Anamosa, is a member of Choose Iowa. Choose Iowa is the state’s new signature brand for Iowa grown, Iowa raised, and Iowa made products. Iowa farms and small businesses use the brand to identify that their products are from Iowa, with over 170 members statewide. 

The Kaufmans provide high-quality beef and pork for sale direct-to-consumer. 

On Thursday, Secretary Naig stopped by the farm to meet the family and learn about their farming enterprise, which also includes crop production and show pig sales. Naig says the Kaufmans are an excellent example of a multi-generational farm family working hard and doing what they love.
