A water main installation project is scheduled to start today along Highway 13 in Linn County.
The project will extend from 35th Avenue in Marion to County Home Road. Crews will be installing a new 12-inch water main to provide water for the new Secondary Road Department headquarters and for future public or private development along that stretch of road.
Drivers can expect intermittent closures and delays on the side roads along Highway 13 from 35th Avenue in Marion to County Home Road.
The project does impact the use of the snowmobile trail along Highway 13 in that area. Linn County recommends that snowmobile riders should find an alternate route.
The project is expected to wrap up in April.
