Fayette County Man Hid in Attic Insulation to Avoid Arrest Warrant

A Fayette County man was found hiding in the insulation of an attic to avoid being arrested on a warrant.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says their deputies, along with Oelwein Police, executed a search warrant early Thursday around 3 am. The wanted subject, 26-year old Dalton James Bunn of Maynard, was believed to be at 6262 N Avenue in Maynard. 

Law enforcement found Bunn in the attic of the home hiding in the insulation. 

He was arrested on the Probation Violation Warrant on an original charge of Burglary and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He also now faces a charge of Interference with Official Acts. 

The Sheriff’s Office says Bunn was transported to the Fayette County Jail, where he was held on five thousand dollars bond and current charges.
