Midwest Dairy Offering Scholarships

Midwest Dairy announced they are now seeking students to apply for the Iowa division scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic school year. High school and undergraduate students accepted or enrolled into an accredited college are invited to apply for the scholarship until March 1.

The applicant, or applicant’s parents/guardians/grandparents/sibling, must own a dairy farm located in the state of Iowa, or be employed on a dairy farm located in the state of Iowa and be recommended by the producer. Recipients of the Iowa division scholarship will receive $1,000 to further their educational endeavors. Applicants will be evaluated on contributions to and involvement in the dairy industry, leadership, career plans, and academic standing.

“The Iowa division scholarship is all about recognizing students who are committed to building up the dairy industry and carrying it forward into the future,” said Mariah Busta, Midwest Dairy Iowa Farmer Relations Manager. “It’s a privilege to recognize the achievements of these young dairy leaders with this scholarship program. We are proud to continue our commitment to these remarkable students and the 7,000 hardworking dairy farm families we represent.”

Last year, 11 students were awarded the Iowa division scholarship. In addition to the Iowa division scholarship, Midwest Dairy offers additional scholarships for young dairy leaders through the Iowa Dairy Princess and Iowa Dairy Ambassador programs. Dairy students are also invited to apply to scholarships from Dairy Management Inc., which offers checkoff-funded scholarships at the national level.
