A brass quartet consisting of four Wartburg College band students will be performing in Ryan this weekend.
The quartet, which includes 2022 West Delaware grad and tuba player Samantha Anderson, will play at Peace Lutheran Church in Ryan on Sunday. They will take part in a Polka Service beginning at 10:30 am, during which Lay Minister Chris Anderson will discuss his recent trip to Greece and Turkey.
The service will be followed by a potluck dinner in the church basement at 11:30. The quartet will perform a concert of polka style music in the sanctuary at approximately 12:30 pm, depending on how long dinner takes.
Come for just the service, potluck, or concert or attend all three.
The Wartburg band program is touring Japan in May. A free will offering will be taken to help these four students defray their share of the cost of the trip.
