The search is on for this year’s edition of the Best Burger in Iowa.
Iowa Beef Industry Council spokesperson Kylie Peterson says they’re looking for nominations.
The Iowa Cattlemen’s Association is a co-sponsor of the contest.
You can vote by going to iabeef.org and look for “Iowa’s Best Burger” contest.
The top ten restaurants in votes will move on to the next round.
She says the scoring is based on criteria like proper cooking, temperature, overall taste, and bonus points for experience. Peterson says the past winning restaurants have come from all over the state.
The winner of Iowa’s Best Burger will be announced on May 1st to kick off “May Beef Month”.
