Weather Warm-up This Week Across Eastern Iowa

Our furnaces are getting a chance to slow down and going outside isn’t requiring multiple layers of clothes.
A warm-up has moved into eastern Iowa following a week of sub-zero temperatures and dangerous windchills. National Weather Service Meteorologist Dylan Dodson says the cold air that’s been sitting over the state has moved out, with highs forecast to reach into the 40s and 50s this week. Dodson says that’s really going to feel balmy after last week.
And he expects the snow to disappear quite a bit as temperatures rise.
Dodson says as we head into the last week of February, we’re getting closer and closer to spring.
Meteorological spring starts Saturday. The first official day of spring is March 20th.
