City of Manchester Updating Security Systems

The City of Manchester will be updating their security systems.

City staff and the City Council have discussed upgrading security cameras at Manchester City Hall, the Police Department and several city parks, as well as improving door security at City Hall and the Police Department.

City Manager Tim Vick says after reviewing multiple proposals, Police Chief Ben Davis recommended the County approve a five-year contract with Infrastructure Technology Solutions, LLC to address these security enhancements.

Vick says the City’s current security cameras and locks are over 15 years old – so not only will the new equipment be more reliable, but it will have improvements in technology too.

Vick says along with Manchester City Hall and the Police Department, the security camera updates will cover several other city properties too.

The cost for City of Manchester’s security upgrades is just over $63,000, which covers all the expenses for five years, including installation and equipment.
