Starmont Voters Approve PPEL

Starmont Community School District voters approved a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy on Tuesday.

The measure passed with 278 voters in favor (176 voted no). 

Their approval extends the PPEL for another ten years. It will allow the district to move forward with improvements to Starmont’s facilities, transportation, and technology.

The PPEL will have a levy rate impact of $1.01 per $1,000 taxable property value. For a home assessed at $250,000, this would amount to $9.57 per month.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the Starmont School District says they are incredibly grateful for the feedback they received from the community leading up to election day.
