Red Flag Warning Across Eastern Iowa

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for eastern Iowa.
The combination of gusty southwest winds up to 35 mph, low relative humidity, near record high temperatures and dry fuels will result in critical fire weather conditions this afternoon into early evening. If a fire were to start, it would likely spread quickly and be difficult to extinguish.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Warm and dry temperatures are expected throughout the week, with a chance of thunderstorms and severe weather by Friday and cooler weather and rain for the weekend.
