Foundation for Future of Delaware County Grant Applications Due Wednesday

The Foundation for the Future of Delaware County will be awarding a number of grants to local non-profits this spring.

And if you haven’t already applied, you’ve still got about a day to do so. Applications are due tomorrow, March 12th.

Executive Director Amanda Diers says there are two opportunities for grants this year as they honor the Foundation’s 20th anniversary.

Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits or governmental bodies. Other non-profits with charitable projects may also qualify, but they must partner with a qualified non-profit or governmental body that will serve as a sponsor. The Foundation prioritizes projects and programs focusing on new, innovative ideas. They welcome proposals for projects that benefit a broad spectrum of the community or a chronically underserved segment of the population in the areas of health and human services; education; neighborhoods and community development; environment; children, youth and families; and arts and culture, including historic preservation.

Board member Jackie Johnson says last year, they were able to help quite a few non-profits in communities across Delaware County.

Johnson says it’s a wonderful feeling to be able to give back to the community and see the various projects and programs come to life.

Applications for the FFDC grants can be found online at dbqfoundation.org/ffdc or on the Foundation for the Future of Delaware County Facebook page.
