Fencing Installation Begins at Manchester Dog Park
Park Expected to Open by May 1st

The fencing is getting installed at the Manchester Dog Park.
Crews worked on putting up the six-foot vinyl coated chainlink fence on Thursday, with posts done on the north, south and west sides of the park.
Manchester City Parks & Rec Director Doug Foley says they’ll come back and finish the east side and the inner fence that separates the small dog and large dog area after they finish pouring the concrete for the entrance, sidewalk, water fountains and shaded seating area.
Manchester’s dog park on South Brewer Street has been in the works for a couple years, with the Dog Park Committee putting a lot of effort into raising funds and awareness. The total cost of the fence will end up around $26,000, with everything paid for through fundraising efforts and donations.
Foley thanks everyone for being patient as they still need to get some ground work done. He says they’ll open the dog park as soon as it is ready, which he’s hoping is by May 1st at the latest.
