Rain Transitioning to Snow Wednesday Night

Wednesday is bringing a mix of weather to eastern Iowa.
Strong to severe thunderstorms moved through this morning, with the severe storm threat sticking around through the afternoon. The KMCH listening area, which includes Delaware, Dubuque, Buchanan, Jones, Linn, Clayton and Fayette counties, is under a Level 1 out of 5 Marginal Risk for severe weather.
Winds will increase late this afternoon and this evening from the north, with gusts up to 45 to 55 miles per hour.
Rain will change to snow, with one to two inches of snow possible. The National Weather Service says the winds could lead to sharply reduced visibilities tonight.
