March Wraps Up Warmer and Wetter Than Normal

State Climatologist Justin Glisan says March wrapped up warmer and wetter than normal, including one distinction for this year.
Glisan says the weather pattern for March sent us three big storm events.
And he says there was a big disparity in precipitation across the state.
Glisten says part of the March precipitation was above-average snowfall in northern and western Iowa after an earlier lack of snow.
Though he says there was some warm weather between the storms.
Glisan says December, January and February combined for about 13 inches below average for snowfall.
For the month of March, Manchester received three-point-seven inches of snow and nearly three and a half inches of rain, while averaging a high of 53 degrees.
