Slight Risk for Severe Storms Thursday

There is a slight risk for severe weather later today.

The National Weather Service says the majority of the KMCH listening area is under a Level 2 out of 5 Slight Risk for severe storms on Thursday night, with a Level 1 Marginal Risk across the rest of eastern Iowa.

If strong to severe storms develop, the main threat would be large hail, with damaging winds a secondary concern. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible.

Stay with Mix 94.7 KMCH – we’ll let you know if any watches or warnings are issued and break in with live coverage as needed.

Forecasters say there may be another chance for thunderstorms on Easter Sunday.
