KMCH SPORTS: Drake Relays results from Saturday
Western Dubuque's Nauman completes incredible 3-day stretch

BY JON SWISHER – SPORTS DIRECTOR:
Western Dubuque High School Junior Quentin Nauman completed an unprecedented distance triple crown on Saturday, the final day of the 115th Drake Relays inside Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Nauman claimed the boys’ 1600 meter run in 4:05.17. That time is a Drake Relays record and an all-time Iowa best. He became the first Iowa high school boy to sweep the 3200 meter run, 1600 meter run and the 800 meter run in the same weekend. For his efforts Nauman should be named later today the Most Outstanding Performer among high school boys in the year’s Drake Relays. Nauman’s 3200 meter run on Thursday was also a relays record.
