Midwest Pride in Your Ride Enjoyed a Great Weekend

A fleet of semis, survivors and supporters gathered this weekend for the Annual Midwest Pride in Your Ride event at the Tri State Raceway outside of Earlville.
The truck and tractor show serves as a major fundraiser for the local Relay for Life and American Cancer Society. The event was started over ten years ago by Worthington trucker Eldon Jaeger, who wanted to do something in memory of his daughter, Brenda, who lost her fight against cancer.
A chance encounter more than 10 years ago with Eldon at a tractor show at the I-80 Truckstop brought Dr Philip Khopski to the event, this year serving as a keynote speaker. Khopski expressed his gratitude for Eldon and the Midwest Pride In Your Ride Family.
Iowa has an unusually high number of cancer diagnoses. Dr Khopski talks about what the university is learning.
The weekend weather helped to make the event a success. KMCH would like to thank event organizers for including us in their efforts.
