DOT Road and Bridge Projects Continue Across Northeast Iowa

Road and bridge projects are continuing around northeast Iowa.
The Iowa DOT says the railroad crossing on Highway 13 north of Central City remains closed this week for a replacement project, but it should be open by Monday.
DOT crews are also working on a deck overlay of W-45 over US-25. They are almost finished with the first half of the project and anticipate finishing by mid-June.
Another DOT project will be starting later this summer – it’s a deck overlay project for US-52 over the Turkey River north of Luxemburg. District 6 Resident Construction Engineer Hugh Holak says it might start around August 1st. They’ll have signals for one-lane traffic on the bridge.
We’ll take a look at the projects through the Delaware County Secondary Roads Department in tomorrow’s newscasts on KMCH.
