If you travel on County Home Road by the railroad tracks, you will need to follow the detour this week.
Linn County says repairs to the Canadian National railroad crossing on County Home Road requires that the road fully close to traffic Tuesday through Friday, weather permitting. The CN railroad is replacing the crossing material to provide a smoother crossing and add longevity to the crossing. This project is considered routine maintenance – it was last completed in 2024. The CN railroad is fully funding this project.
There will be a marked detour route while the roadway and crossing are closed. You can find a map of the detour below:
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit, and comply with all traffic signs around construction projects. Do not drive around the barricades that are in place to protect the public and road crews.
