Manchester Approves Continuation of Lead Removal Grants for Homes

Manchester residents have the opportunity to get rid of lead and mold in their homes at no cost.

For the past three years, the City of Manchester has participated in the ECIA’s Lead-Based Paint and Healthy Homes program, which offers grants to remove lead and mold from homes in the community. City Manager Tim Vick says on Monday night, the City Council agreed to continue the program for another three years.

Twenty homes in Manchester have benefited from the Lead-Based Paint and Healthy Homes program since 2022. And with it set to continue, Vick says residents can now start applying for this second round of grants.
