Great Turnout for Manchester River Days

It was a great turnout for Manchester River Days this past weekend.

The three-day festival kicked off Thursday night with the City of Manchester’s ‘Music on the Maquoketa’ summer music series at Riverfront Park. Chamber Director Laura Holtz says a ton of people came out to enjoy live music from The Detour Band.

River Days continued Friday night with the Country Cruisers’ Show ‘n Shine car show on South Franklin Street in downtown Manchester. Fred Pasker, who brought his 2010 Camaro, says he comes to the show for the camaraderie.

Al Knipper brought his ‘71 Monte Carlo, which he says he just bought in March.

Friday night’s River Days events also included the Farmers Market and live music from Mark Zalaznik and Sushi Roll.

River Days wrapped up Saturday with the vendor fair and kids zone at Riverfront Park, with Not Quite Brothers performing to a large crowd at F&M Bank’s 100th Anniversary Block Party on South Franklin Street on Saturday night.
