Neal McCoy Performing at Winthrop Days

Winthrop will be bringing in a well-known country artist for a concert this weekend.

Neal McCoy will be performing at Winthrop Days on Friday night. Aly Franck with the Winthrop C&C Club says they’re excited to bring in another national act after hosting Sawyer Brown last year.

Tickets for Neal McCoy are available online for $45 at tickets.midwestix.com or you can get them at the gate Friday night for $50. It’s general admission and standing room only, so bring your lawn chairs if you’d like. Gates open at 6:30 pm, with McCoy taking the stage at 9 pm.

Winthrop Days runs Thursday through Saturday, with several activities ongoing during those three days – including the carnival, hang challenge and food trucks. The Winthrop Historical Center will be open throughout Winthrop Days too, with a new addition this year.

Winthrop Days will feature live music on Thursday night from Joe McIntosh from 6 to 8 pm.

Winthrop’s Citizen of the Year and Little Mr. and Miss Winthrop Days will also be announced Thursday night.

Saturday’s events include the Winthrop Days parade at 4 pm, with a community dinner from 4:30 to 7 pm. And the annual festival wraps up Saturday night with live music from Flatland Ridge from 8 to 11 pm and fireworks at dusk.

Franck says they’re looking forward to a great time for the Winthrop community.

Eric Walker will be broadcasting from Winthrop Days on Friday night from 5 to 7 pm on KMCH. If you’d like more details about the event schedule, check out the Winthrop C&C Club on Facebook.
