Street and Crane Work in Manchester

A stretch of East Main Street in Manchester is getting a facelift.

Crews were working Wednesday on resurfacing East Main from Bailey Drive to the Delaware County Courthouse at Tama Street. Temporary lane closures are in place as crews pave, with access to all properties at this time. The City says the paving should be done by Thursday, weather permitting.

East Main Street right in front of Manchester City Hall was also closed to traffic for a brief time Wednesday morning to allow a large crane to complete work. The City of Manchester says they have leased space to Verizon on the roof of City Hall, so they were working to reinforce the roof.
