The calendar says summer officially arrives on Friday – and, right on cue, forecasters say the hottest weather of the season so far will also arrive in Iowa on Friday.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Donna Dubberke says it’ll be a hot and humid weekend, with highs well into the 90s.
She says the long-range forecast shows high temperatures are expected to fall back into the 80s by next Tuesday.
