Clayton County Museum Crawl Continues in June

The Clayton County Museum Crawl continues this weekend.
It’s the first year for the event, which gives visitors a fun chance to explore the museums across Clayton County.
There are more than a dozen museums in Clayton County, including:
- Edgewood Museum
- Wilder Museum in Strawberry Point
- Elkader Depot Museum
- Rural Heritage Museum in Elkader
- Earth Moving Legacy Center in Elkader
- Motor Mill Historic Site in rural Elkader
- Volga Library
- Garnavillo Historical Society
- Froelich Tractor Museum
- Monona Historical Museum
- Marquette Depot Museum
- McGregor Historical Museum
- Lockmaster’s House Heritage Museum in Guttenberg
Clayton County Tourism Team member Brandi Crozier says just show up at one of the museums to begin the crawl.
And if you’re looking for a way to beat the heat this weekend, this is one way to do it. Most of the museums are air-conditioned – and staffed with friendly faces who can’t wait to share the fascinating stories preserved inside their walls.
The museum crawl runs Saturdays and Sundays throughout June from 10 am to 3 pm all across Clayton County.
