Delaware County Fair Hosting New Ceremonies to Honor Veterans, Farm Families & Heroes

The Delaware County Fair will be hosting three new ceremonies this year at a new location on the fairgrounds called the Back Porch.

Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer explains:

Along with honoring our veterans on Thursday, July 10th, the Delaware County Fair will also recognize Delaware County farm families who have received the Iowa State Fair’s Century and Heritage Farm Awards on Wednesday, July 9th with a new event called the Farm Legacy Ceremony.

The Delaware County Fair will wrap up the week honoring Hometown Heroes – our local police, fire and emergency services departments – on the Back Porch on Friday, July 11th. All three ceremonies will take place at 1 pm.

If you’d like more information about any of these three new ceremonies, reach out to the Delaware County Fair Office.
