Delaware County Fair Kicks Off in Manchester

The Delaware County Fair kicks off today in Manchester.
Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer says the first day is always free admission, with your chance to get a sneak peek at the fairgrounds and enjoy some great food. 4-H and FFA judging is taking place throughout the day and the Delaware County Fair parade is tonight.
This year’s fair includes MotoCross on Tuesday night, Tough Truck Races and the Christian concert with Colton Dixon on Wednesday night, Skillet on Thursday night, Scotty McCreery on Friday night, the Truck and Tractor Pull Saturday, the Draft Horse Show on Saturday and Sunday and the Demo Derby on Sunday to wrap up fair week.
Delaware County Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer says free carnival rides are back this year too.
Several new ceremonies are taking place at a new spot on the fairgrounds called The Back Porch (right off the Clubhouse), with farm families to be honored Wednesday, veterans on Thursday and hometown heroes on Friday – all ceremonies starting at 1 pm.
And there is a new kids’ area at the Delaware County Fair this year. Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer says it’s called Stampede Square.
There are a few new free entertainment shows on Saturday too – the Polish and Pancakes Car Show, the Princess Meet & Greet and Tykes & Trucks.
