Several Improvements Made This Past Year to Delaware County Fairgrounds

The Delaware County Fair Board has been preparing all year for this week – and most of their planning and work you’ll easily notice as you take in the concerts, enjoy the food and walk through the barns.

But as Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer notes, some of the improvements they’ve been working on are behind the scenes – and may not be noticed by most fairgoers.

Another important project the Delaware County Fair Board has completed this past year is improving the drainage on the track.

Domeyer says they’re grateful for the community’s support that made so many of these projects at the fairgrounds possible.

You may also notice all the newly-planted trees at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. Over the past two years, the fairgrounds has lost more than 60 trees due to the Emerald Ash Borer, so this spring, volunteers gathered to plant a variety of around 30 new trees.
