Ronnebaum Honored as Delaware County Fair’s Superior Senior Showman

It was a busy week for 4-H and FFA members showing livestock at the Delaware County Fair last week.

And it culminated with the Superior Showmanship Show in the Farm Bureau Show Ring on a stormy Friday afternoon.

Five exhibitors – who had each won the Senior Showmanship title in their respective classes, whether it was Goat, Sheep, Dairy, Beef or Swine – got in the ring to compete for the title of Superior Showman. All five exhibitors showed each animal, with the judge choosing the winner based on their knowledge and ability to handle each animal.

Bianka Ronnebaum of Earlville, who recently graduated from Maquoketa Valley, won the honor of Champion Superior Senior Showman. She’s been showing at the Delaware County Fair since 4th grade.

Ronnebaum will be studying Dairy Science at Iowa State University this fall. She says showing livestock at the Delaware County Fair has taught her some valuable life skills that she’ll take with her in the future.

Caden Kremer won Reserve Champion Superior Senior Showman, with Lauren Krogmann placing 3rd, Aden Kruse 4th and Macoy Peyton 5th.
