The “Five Best Days of Summer” have kicked off in Monticello.
It’s Great Jones County Fair Week and Office Manager Abby Jaeger says keeping with tradition, they’ve got another great line-up of concerts this year.
The concerts begin Thursday night with country star Sam Hunt. Rapper Nelly takes the stage on Friday night, country superstar Hardy performs Saturday night and the “Roots and Boots” Tour with Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin and Collin Raye wrap up fair week on Sunday night.
And there will be plenty of non-musical entertainment at the grandstands this year too, with the Pro Pulling League tonight, Harness Racing on Thursday at 11 am and Extreme Bull Riding on Sunday at 5 pm.
The Great Jones County Fair is known for its food fest, with dozens of food vendors returning to this year’s fair. And Jaeger says there is plenty of free entertainment and family activities too.
