RAGBRAI Coming to Lamont, Dundee & Edgewood

RAGBRAI will be making its way into northeast Iowa today and Saturday.
The annual bike ride across Iowa started July 19th in Orange City. Thousands of riders will make an overnight stop in Oelwein tonight, with the final day of the ride bringing them through the KMCH listening area on Saturday, passing through Stanley, Aurora, Lamont, Dundee, Edgewood and Garber before ending the day (and the weeklong ride) in Guttenberg.
Chamber Director Elise Bergan says Edgewood is ready.
She says Edgewood will have a ton of food vendors, along with drink options, for the riders and visitors – and the community is welcome to come out too.
The Edgewood Fire Department will be helping during RAGBRAI’s stop in town too.
And if you want to help as Edgewood hosts RAGBRAI on Saturday, Bergan says they can still find a place for you.
Dundee is ready for RAGBRAI. Mayor Barb Robinson tells KMCH they’ll have food and water available for the riders as they pass through town, with several food trucks coming to their community too. They’ll be selling t-shirts. And the City of Dundee is also hosting a food stand, with the money raised going towards a storm shelter/new bathroom in the city park.
And in Lamont, they’ll be offering food, drinks, massage/stretch therapy and DJ entertainment.
You can find more information about the local RAGBRAI stops on various Facebook pages, include Experience Edgewood, Dundee RAGBRAI and RAGBRAI Lamont.
