Delaware County Public Health Recommending Measles Vaccinations

This year has brought a substantial increase in Measles cases across the country.
And while no cases have been confirmed in Delaware County this year, Delaware County Public Health Manager Krystle DeShaw says Iowa has had several so far.
Measles is a highly contagious viral infection.
DeShaw says if you’re showing possible Measles symptoms, it’s important to call your doctor or hospital ahead of time and notify them if you’re wanting to get checked out.
Delaware County Public Health recommends getting vaccinated if you’re not already, especially since the school year is set to get underway soon.
