Domeyer Crowned Iowa Dairy Princess Alternate

For the second year in a row, Delaware County is home to Iowa dairy royalty.

19-year old Alia Domeyer of Delhi was crowned Iowa Dairy Princess Alternate on Wednesday night during a ceremony at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.

Alia, the daughter of Dewey and Jeannie Domeyer, will share duties with the princess. She represented Delaware County in the contest after serving as the 2024 Delaware County Dairy Princess.

Domeyer will serve alongside the newly-crowned Iowa Dairy Princess, 18-year old Kelsey Timp of Winneshiek County.

The two were chosen from thirteen candidates, which included four others from the KMCH listening area – Bianka Ronnebaum of Earlville, Maleah Demmer of Dundee, Kaitlyn Besler of Worthington and Libby Hagemann of New Vienna.

The outgoing 2024-25 Iowa Dairy Princess is Haley Ronnebaum, the daughter of Mitch and Jenny Ronnebaum of Earlville, and the Alternate Princess is Harley Baumler, daughter of Mike and Amy Baumler of St. Lucas. Their reigns will be completed at the end of the month, with the new Princess and Alternate beginning their duties on September 1st.
