Delaware County Suicide Prevention Coalition Hosting ‘Walk 4 Tomorrow’

The Delaware County Suicide Prevention Coalition is hosting its 3rd annual free suicide awareness walk called Walk 4 Tomorrow next month.
The event is meant to raise awareness, support survivors of suicide loss, and to let those with suicidal thoughts know they are not alone.
Walk 4 Tomorrow will take place on Saturday, September 13th at Tirrill Park in Manchester from 9 to 11 am, with registration starting at 8 am. After checking in, attendees will have the opportunity to pin a photo of a loved one who has died by suicide or been affected by suicide. The event will kick off with a speaker, a blessing and then the walk. There will also be resource tables set up on the grounds so people can get more information about local services. Beverages will be available too.
If you’d like to participate in Walk 4 Tomorrow, no registration is needed ahead of time – just show up the morning of and sign-up at the registration table. Registration is free. Participants are encouraged to show up wearing teal or purple in support of the cause and/or team shirts if that’s something that you have. And if you are wanting to volunteer for Walk 4 Tomorrow, you are more than welcome too – just show up at 7:30 am to help set-up.
Donations are also welcome – you can find more information on the “Suicide Prevention Coalition of Delaware County” page on Facebook. You can also reach out to Krystle DeShaw or Stefanie Dingbaum at delcospc@gmail.com.
