Petersburg Hosting Back Field Country Bash

Petersburg will be holding their annual Back Field Country Bash on Friday night.

This is the fifth year for the event – and Petersburg Commercial Club member Dale Boeckenstedt says they’ve pushed it up a night early this year due to the Field of Dreams concert weekend.

Two bands will be performing in Petersburg on Friday night – Matthew Kane starts the night off at 6 pm, followed by Tyler Richton & the Highbank Boys at 9 pm.

An auction will take place between the shows around 8:30 pm, with the proceeds split between Saints Peter and Paul Parish and the Petersburg Commercial Club – and there will be a very unique hometown item up for bidding this year.

And the event is family friendly, with some activities for the kids too.

Petersburg’s Back Field Country Bash will take place at the ball diamond behind the church. Gates open at 5:30 pm on Friday night, with the event running from 6 pm to midnight. The cost is $10 for ages 12 to 20, with 21 and older $20. Kids 11 and under are free.
