Sleep in Heavenly Peace Hosting Bed Build in Manchester

Sleep in Heavenly Peace will be holding a Bed Build in Manchester on Wednesday.

Keith Kramer leads the Delaware County chapter.

No, not every kid in our county has a bed. Sleep in Heavenly Peace has delivered around 450 beds to kids in the Delaware County area since the program started four years ago – kids who were sleeping on the couch, a mattress or the floor.

Kramer says it’s happening here in our area – and that’s why he and his team of volunteers are so passionate about making sure everyone has a good place to lay their head at night.

Volunteers are needed to help build beds for Sleep in Heavenly Peace on Wednesday – all ages are welcome and no experience or skills are necessary.

And once the beds are built, they’re ready to be delivered to a child in the Delaware County area. Kramer says if you’re in need of one of their beds, you can apply through their website.

Wednesday’s Bed Build will start at 10 am at the Beef Barn at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester. You can come and go as it works for you – Kramer invites you to help or just come and see what they’re all about.
