Iowa Hawkeyes Honoring Dyersville Boy as Kid Captain

A Dyersville boy has been named this week’s Hawkeye Kid Captain.
What started as a believed recurrent ear infection in 5-year old James Hall quickly turned into something far more serious – two brain tumors and a rare cancer-like disorder. After initial treatment, a second even more aggressive brain tumor was suspected.
The University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital says despite the challenges, James continues to receive expert care and ongoing monitoring. His journey is still unfolding, but is led by determination and hope.

James will be honored during the Iowa – Iowa State football game in Ames on Saturday.
