Appointments Filled for Electronic & Household Hazardous Waste Clean-up Day

All of the appointments have been filled for this Saturday’s Electronics and Household Hazardous Waste Clean-up Day in Manchester.

The annual event is sponsored by the Delaware County Solid Waste Commission in partnership with the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency. The clean-up day is offered to Delaware County and Strawberry Point residents, giving them an opportunity to get rid of electronic items and hazardous waste at no cost.

With 25 appointments every half hour from 8 am to noon, the event serves around 200 local residents.

Even if you did not get an appointment scheduled for Saturday’s event, there is still a way to properly dispose of your unwanted items. Log on to the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency’s website at dmaswa.org and you can schedule an appointment to take your items there.
